Some of the most persistent suffering people carry isn’t tied to a single event or diagnosis — it shows up in patterns. The same arguments, the same endings, the same feeling of being misunderstood or unable to get close. The same self-sabotage at moments that matter. These patterns often have deep roots, and they tend to be resistant to the kind of short-term, symptom-focused work that helps with other presentations.
At Quandary Peak Counseling, we offer individual therapy for people navigating relational and personality-related concerns, including those who have been in and out of therapy without finding traction, and those who are only beginning to recognize that something more fundamental may need attention.
This work might look like exploring attachment patterns and how early relationships shaped the way you connect with others now. It might mean examining the gap between how you want to show up in relationships and how you actually do. It might involve working through interpersonal sensitivity, chronic emptiness, impulsivity, or the kind of emotional intensity that strains relationships over time.
We approach this work with honesty, patience, and genuine curiosity, not a checklist of traits to be corrected. People are more than their patterns, and the goal of this work is not to sand someone down but to help them understand themselves well enough to have more freedom in how they live and relate.
Our clinicians draw on psychodynamic, relational, existential, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) approaches, and are experienced working with personality-related presentations across a range of severity and complexity.
We offer in-person appointments in Denver and telehealth throughout Colorado. Call 720-675-7918 or request an appointment online to get started.
